*What is Focused Ultrasound Lifting?

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) lifting utilizes special ultrasound energy. It's a non-surgical lifting method that precisely delivers energy to specific areas of the skin to stimulate collagen production, thereby helping to improve skin elasticity.

Similar to how a magnifying glass focuses light, ultrasound energy is concentrated at specific depths within the skin. During this process, high heat is momentarily generated, creating microscopic thermal coagulation points (TCPs) within the skin tissue.

These formed thermal coagulation points reach high temperatures of approximately 60~70 degrees Celsius. While having minimal effect on surrounding tissues, they stimulate only the heat-focused areas, helping collagen to denature and new collagen to regenerate.

HIFU is one of the non-invasive treatment methods that can deliver energy to the SMAS layer (fascial layer) deep within the skin. This SMAS layer is known to be similar to the fascial structure lifted during surgical facelift procedures.

When energy is delivered to the SMAS layer, the tissue contracts, and the rearrangement of collagen fibers begins. Through this, you can expect an overall lifting effect and improved elasticity over time.
